Leia joined Animal Hospital of Largo in 2017 when she was just beginning her career in veterinary medicine.
While working as a veterinary assistant, she was also working towards her degree from St. Petersburg College of Veterinary Nursing and raising her son Cyrus. She graduated in 2019 receiving an award for excellence in veterinary behavior, and shortly after in August of 2019 passed the national exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the state of Florida. She is also a certified Fear Free professional and strives to advocate for the comfort of every patient during their visits to the hospital.
She considers the Animal Hospital of Largo her home away from home and loves caring for the people and pets in our community. She is dedicated to guiding the team, and managing our busy practice. When not at work, she enjoys spending time making memories with her son while he's still young. Her hobbies include thrift shopping, painting, and dancing, and exploring the Tampa Bay Area where she was born and still resides in St. Petersburg FL. She has a furry family of her own; her dog Marley and frisky feline Tyr.
